Community Rules & Guidelines
As a member or guest of the Peak5Hosting (P5H) gaming community, we want you to feel welcome and comfortable as you spend time with us. In today’s Internet world, that only happens when everyone follows the rules.
Our Community Rules & Guidelines explains our code of conduct and the rules that everyone is required to follow while interacting with our community. We’ve made them as simple as we can. We ask that you take a few moments to review them, and contact an admin or moderator if you have any questions.
Member Rules
- No Bullying or Harassment
- We want every member to feel welcome. After all, we’re here to play video games and have fun. Bullying and harassment have no place in a community like ours. Trying to make someone else feel worse just so you feel better doesn’t work and won’t be tolerated.
- Be Respectful
- Treat others the way you’d ask to be treated. Respect is a two-way street, and you can only expect to receive it if you give it.
- Maturity—or more precisely, the lack of it—is a big issue in the gaming community. Our expectation is that every member show a base level of maturity and respect while participating as a member or guest of our community.
- Cheating and Trolling
- We want the people we play with to play fairly and within the rules and mechanics of the games we play. Don’t cheat, grief, or exploit bugs and glitches. It just ruins the experience for everyone. Don’t promote or advertise known cheats, bugs, or exploits.
- Personal Information / Doxxing
- Never share personal information—whether yours or someone else’s. Using personal information in an attempt to hurt, shame, or threaten someone will not be tolerated.
Guidelines
- Participation
- The bedrock of a community is in the activity of its members. The point of this community is to build a team of friends to share our gaming experiences with. But to do that we all need to participate. While we don’t insist on our members being part of our community Discord, we do ask that everyone joins so we can get to know the people we’re logging in with.
- This Is Not A “Safe Space”
- While we want everyone to feel welcome here, we do not ask or expect our members to treat another person differently because that person insists upon it. This is a community for the enjoyment of video games, and as such there is no place for the drama brought on by political, social, or ideological issues.
- Be Nice. Help Others. Have Fun!
- This is pretty self-explanatory. We want this community to be a place where people can hang out, chat, and play games together. Being respectful, helping others and generally behaving like an adult is very much appreciated.
